Wood Marvels began in 2017 with a simple frustration that many homeowners and parents can relate to.​ After moving into our larger family home, we found ourselves searching for furniture to fill the empty spaces. We spent countless hours visiting furniture stores, only to discover that the pieces we loved often came with hefty price tags, required hours of assembly and didn't always offer the quality we expected.

So, we decided to build our own.

What started as a few furniture projects for our children's bedrooms soon expanded into other areas of our home. Before long, family and friends began asking, "Where did you buy that?" and "Can you make one for me?"

After saying "yes" to our very first custom bookcase, everything changed.

As a husband-and-wife team, what began as a small side hustle operating out of our family garage after hours and on weekends soon grew into something much bigger. With every order, our passion became our purpose. We took the leap, turned Wood Marvels into our full-time business, built an incredible team and moved into our own workshop and showroom, allowing us to serve customers across South Africa.

Our journey has grown alongside our family. The young children who inspired our very first furniture projects are now teenagers, learning the ropes of running a family business and becoming actively involved in Wood Marvels. Watching them develop a strong work ethic and a passion for what we've built together has been one of the most rewarding parts of our journey.

Today, Wood Marvels proudly designs and manufactures furniture for homes across South Africa. From nursery furniture and bedroom pieces to TV units, storage solutions, office furniture, shelving and cupboards, every piece is made with care, designed to suit your space, your style and your everyday life.
